PUENTE VIESGO AND CANTABRIA
Cantabria is a region on the north coast of Spain. It’s very famous because of the Picos de Europa.
Puente Viesgo is located right in the centre of the region of Cantabria. It’s a little village but very turistic because of the Prehistoric Caves and the famous Spa. There are many bars and restaurants, but you need to venture a little further to Santander for many shops.
The climate in Cantabria is mild. However,
it can snow heavily in the mountains (Picos de Europa) during the winter and it
can be windy and wet any time of the year. The summer is usually hot but not as
much as in the South of Spain. In any case, because of the South wind, you can
be over 30ºC in January. We advise you to take windproof and
waterproof trousers and jacket, fleece, gloves and hat but also lighter summer
clothes at all times of the year.
